Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 5 chicken Sausage Caprese
- sausage buns- 5
- pesto sauce approximately ½ cup
- fresh mozzarella cheese-10 slices
- fresh tomato-10 slices
- salt and pepper
- balsamic vinegar approximately 1 teaspoon per sandwich
Cooking instructions
- In a large skillet add oil and heat over medium/high heat for 1-2 minutes.
- Add the sausage to the skillet and brown on all sides.
- Cover the skillet, reduce the heat to medium and cook the sausage turning occasionally until the sausages are cooked through and are no longer pink. Approximately 15 minutes.
- Place each sausage on a bun, add pesto, mozzarella, and tomato slices and drizzle each with approximately 1 teaspoon of balsamic vinegar.
- Season sparingly with salt and pepper and serve
