Chicken noodle soup recipe

  • butter-1 tbsp

  • half a cup of chopped onion

  • half a cup of chopped celery

  • 4 (14.5 ounces) can of chicken broth

  • 1 (14.5 ounces) of can vegetable broth

  • half-pound of chopped cooked chicken breast

  • one and a half cups of egg noodles

  • 1 cup of sliced carrots

  • half teaspoon of dried basil

  • half teaspoon of dried oregano

  • salt and pepper to taste

Procedure

Melt butter in a large saucepan over medium heat. Saute onion and celery in butter for 5 minutes, or until just soft. Pour in the chicken and vegetable broths, then add the chicken, noodles, carrots, basil, oregano, salt, and pepper to taste. Bring to a boil, then lower to low heat and leave to simmer for 20 minutes before serving.
