Ingredients
- buttermilk - 2 cup low fat
- sea salt -11/2 tsp
- pepper- 1 tsp freshly ground
- Dried thyme,-2 tsp dried
- garlic powder, 2 tsp
- onion powder2 tsp
- 4 cup corn flakes
- olive oil
Process
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or silicone mat, then place it inside the oven. Place another cooling rack on top of this and spray both sides with non-stick cooking oil for an extra crispiness!
- Combine the chicken, buttermilk (or milk), 1 teaspoon of salt and all spices in a large bowl. Mix well to evenly coat each piece with sauce before disposing off onto paper towels or waxed cloths for 30 minutes.Drain well
To prepare the breading, place the corn flakes in a large resealable bag, lock it, and pound until the corn flakes are crushed into a fine powder.
Shake in 1/2 teaspoon salt, 1 teaspoon dried thyme, garlic powder, and onion powder, 1/2 teaspoon black pepper, until it is thoroughly combined. Coat the chicken in the seasoned breading. Place the breaded chicken on a baking sheet that has been drizzled with olive oil.
Bake for 20 minutes, flipping midway through, until the chicken is crisp, golden brown, and cooked through.
