Recipe with  Chicken sausage Caprese

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

  • 5 chicken Sausage Caprese

  • sausage buns- 5

  • pesto sauce approximately ½ cup

  • fresh mozzarella cheese-10 slices

  • fresh tomato-10 slices

  • salt and pepper

  • balsamic vinegar approximately 1 teaspoon per sandwich

Cooking instructions

  • In a large skillet add oil and heat over medium/high heat for 1-2 minutes.

  • Add the sausage to the skillet and brown on all sides.

  • Cover the skillet, reduce the heat to medium and cook the sausage turning occasionally until the sausages are cooked through and are no longer pink. Approximately 15 minutes.

  • Place each sausage on a bun, add pesto, mozzarella, and tomato slices and drizzle each with approximately 1 teaspoon of balsamic vinegar.

  • Season sparingly with salt and pepper and serve
